Along with the Style, the other most vital aspect that determines the outcome of a match in Tennis Zero is the Flow of your character. Flows primarily enhance the base stats of your Style and offer additional benefits during the Flow state. So, if you are confused about which flow to pick for your character, here is a detailed tier list for your reference.
All Flows Ranked in Tennis Zero
Tier List | Flow Name |
---|---|
S | Curved Shot, Lightning Smash, Perfect Spin |
A | Samurai, Energy Shield |
B | Moonball |
C | Team Spirit, Super Dive, Super Jump |
D | Adrenaline |
Similar to the Styles Tier List, I have ranked all the Flows in Tennis Zero according to their overall effectiveness in matches and their rarities. Go through each of them and pick the one that suits your gameplay tactics.
S-Tier
- Curved Shot: A cutscene-based ability where the player will perform a Curved Shot that cannot be countered, providing a free point each time you enter the flow state.
- Lightning Smash: Perform a swift shot that electrifies the entire court and cannot be blocked. The best part of this ability is that it is very easy to execute, and even a beginner-level player can adopt + execute efficiently.
- Perfect Spin: The Perfect Spin is one of the most overpowered abilities in Tennis Zero that will definitely provide you with a free point each time you use it. So, what does it do? Well, the ball will pitch on your opponent's court and spin backwards, touching the net. You cannot counter this unless you receive the ball directly as a full toss.
A-Tier
- Samurai: The Samurai is another that will guarantee you a free point every time you execute. When you press the flow button, you will perform a return shot that stays low and disappears after bouncing, making it nearly impossible to block.
- Energy Shield: As the name suggests, you can deploy a powerful shield that will automatically return the ball to your opponent with a press of a button. This is great for use against powerful volleys that are difficult to block or reach due to their Speed.
B-Tier
- Moonball: The Moonball is an interesting ability that allows players to hit towering shots, which are slightly challenging to return. This is particularly useful for beginner players who struggle to judge the length and bounce of the ball. But, you can always replace this with other, better abilities in tiers above as you progress in the game.
C-Tier
- Team Spirit: Team Spirit is a valuable ability that improves the morale of your teammates and provides a 10% increase in movement speed. The increase in the Movement Speed is very valuable in all instances and suitable for you to reach any part of the court.
- Super Dive: The Super Dive Ability allows users to jump forward explosively and reach any shots. This is particularly useful against players who enjoy changing the pace of the game with lob shots. However, it does not boost any base stats or help secure points.
- Super Jump: Indicative of its name, this Flow allows players to jump pretty high in the air to perform a powerful smash back at the enemy. While the concept is excellent, it is very challenging to execute, as you have to match the ball's bounce with the Super Jump leap height.
D-Tier
- Adrenaline: The adrenaline is like a mini version of the Team Spirit Ability, where you can get an 80% increase in Speed for the next 3 seconds. Although it sounds promising, the effect lasts only 3 seconds, making it somewhat ineffective and less beneficial.
