That’s a serious time investment, which is exactly why you need to be smart and spend your money wisely. Based on our experience, this is the best pickaxe progression for The Forge Island 4.
- Best early-game Island 4 Pickaxe: The best Crimson Sakura Isle Pickaxe for when you start on Island 4 is the Bamboo Pickaxe. You will need to purchase this pickaxe in order to grind your way through the new Ores.
- Best mid-game Island 4 Pickaxe: Transitioning from early to mid-game in The Forge Island 4 update, you'll want to purchase the Wolf Pickaxe. In my opinion, you can safely skip the Sakura Pickaxe and go straight for the next one. It will take a bit more grinding, but you'll save a lot of money and time in the long run.
- Best end-game Island 4 Pickaxe: When it comes to late- and end-game content in The Forge Island 4, you will want to save your hard-earned cash to purchase the Oni Pickaxe. You can skip the Holy Pickaxe because it doesn't bring a lot of value, but unless you immediately have enough money to go for the Kitsune Pickaxe (highly unlikely), Oni is the way to go, and then work your way toward the Kitsune.
