Since the quaint city of Bloxburg was founded in 2014, there's been one man who has stood time and time again as a beacon of familiarly for its residents. Unfazed by everything that's happened in the last 10 years, he's remained committed to educating and entertaining the nearly 10 billion citizens that have moved to and from his beloved city.
Now, however, this man, commonly referred to as the Bloxburg news reporter, has seemingly up and left Bloxburg without a trace, or any kind of notice, and brokenhearted fans are wondering what happened to him.
Why did the Bloxburg news reporter get removed from Bloxburg?
In Oct. 2023, it was noticed by a multitude of Welcome to Bloxburg players that the standard news cannel had been changed. For the last decade, the Bloxburg news channel featured one man dressed in a suit who stood in front of a blue background and presented the latest news by himself—a one man show, if you will. Granted, this news was the same three stories on repeat and the man only spoke gibberish, but it was beloved familiarity nonetheless.
In the new version of the channel, two anchors sit side by side at a large desk and discuss the news as it flashes behind them on a large screen. Unfortunately, the original Bloxburg news reporter is not one of the two new anchors. At least, not in his original version.

When the change was first noticed, the Bloxburg community became flooded with confusion and frustration; many players took to social media to voice their disappointment in the unforeseen update. Some players even went as far as making petitions to bring the original news reporter back to the channel, though nothing ever came from them.
Though the actual story of what happened to the original Bloxburg news reporter is unknown, as Bloxburg developers have yet to confirm or deny any of the circling theories, there are three main theories that the community has seemed to settle on:
- The original Bloxburg news reporter died so he had to be replaced.
- The original Bloxburg news reporter retired so he had to be replaced.
- The original Bloxburg news reporter is still on the channel; he's the reporter on the right, he just got a new haircut and glasses.
In a grim surprise, the theory that seems to be most popular is the one that involves the news reporter dying, but maybe that's just because the Roblox community loves a good sob story. The theory that you choose to be believe, however, is totally up to you; his fate is in your hands!
