Sand Land has many map markers, which can be confusing; one of those markers is for hills. When you first come across them, you would think you can just go ahead and climb them, but it's not that simple. Here's how to climb hills in Sand Land.
Climbing hills in Sand Land
To climb hills, you will need to get a Jump Bot and then use its jumps to climb from one rock to the other until you reach the top. I first came across hills during the demo, and I tried various sides and corners to find a way to climb until my character said we needed a vehicle that could jump to climb it.
Where to find a Jump Bot (Vehicle) in Sand Land
To get a Jump Bot in the full game, you must progress through the story until you reach Spino Town, where Ann will tell you to get a Jump Bot frame as part of the main quest. After completing the quest, you will get the frame, and then you will have to get the remaining parts.
At first, I started going around Sand Land to look for a Primary Weapon, a Secondary Weapon, an Engine, and a Suspension, but you can craft them at Spino Town; talk to Ann, and here you can craft Jump Bot parts in Parts>Make Parts>Jump Bot.
Here, you have to craft a 30mm Grenade Launcher as the Primary Weapon, a 5mm Machine Gun as the Secondary Weapon, a Parallel-Twin Engine as the Engine, and a Standard Leg as the Suspension. Once you craft all the parts, ask Ann to assemble the bot, and then you can equip it.

Now, go out into the world to find a hill, take out the Jump Bot, and climb on top of those hills by jumping. You will usually find some chests with worthy loot, like materials and vehicle parts, and at other times, there will be minable ores that are helpful to get all sorts of ores.
