Sims 4 Gnome Guide – How to appease every Gnome

Don't anger them!

If you have seen gnomes randomly show up on your property during a holiday, don't worry. I have found out that they just want some food (or a toy)! Give them the right ones and they'll return the favor with a gift. Give them the wrong ones and they may be a bit peeved. Here's how to appease all gnomes in The Sims 4.

How to Appease Gnomes in The Sims 4

If you give a gnome in The Sims 4 a food or drink item that they like, they'll reward you with a gift of free seed packets for gardening. If they appreciate the gift that you gave them, you'll know by the shining halo that appears over their head. They may not disappear or give you your reward right away, so just be patient and wait for the seeds as long as you see the halo. The seeds will eventually appear at some point.

How to give gifts to Gnomes

First, find the gnome you want to give your gift to. Place your cursor over them and click your mouse. Then, select the option that says Appease the Gnome... to receive gift options. Choose the appropriate gift you'd like to hand off. Then, wait to see the gnome's reaction!

What happens if you give Sims 4 Gnomes the wrong gift?

Giving a gnome the wrong gift in The Sims 4 will make them angry. You can also make a Gnome mad by kicking them. Either action will cause a group of flames to appear above the Gnome's head. From there, they may choose to zap you with lightning or break items around your lot. The lightning hit is thankfully not fatal, but it will daze your Sim for a while.

Can Gnomes kill you in Sims 4?

You may be fearful that your Sim could die for angering the wrong Gnome. I tested this out to get to the bottom of it, and I have good news. The answer is no, gnomes cannot kill Sims in The Sims 4. They can wreak havoc by inconveniencing your Sim via dazing and broken appliances, but that's it.
