Open the guide book by pressing X, and then press the same button again to access the other blueprints in the manual. You need to select the Shelter section to find the Lookout Tower blueprint. Click on the blueprint to equip it, and then place it at a preferable spot. If you are building a square or rectangular base, then it is best to place these Lookout Towers on the corners. Remember, to build a Lookout Tower you will need 60 pieces of Logs and one piece of Rope.

When you place the blueprint on the ground, you'll see a white-outlined schematic of the Lookout Tower. Now, all you need to do is fill it up with Logs, Quarter Logs, Half Logs, Planks, and Ropes. After finishing the construction, walk inside from the main entrance of the Lookout Tower, and climb up the rope to reach the top.

After building multiple Lookout Towers across your base, you can connect each of them together through ziplines. To use a zipline, you must first recover the Rope Gun. Once you have built the Lookout Towers, get on top of it, and place a piece of log vertically. Then, get on top of the other Lookout Tower, and place another piece of log on top of it. Now, equip the Rope Gun and shoot a zipline by attaching each end to the newly added pieces of logs.

This creates a zipline between the two Lookout Towers, allowing you to move around the base faster. We recommend using ziplines, stairs, and suspension bridges to connect different areas of your camp with the central base. You can also put different light source furniture like the Ceiling Skull Lamps inside and around your shelter to see properly in the dark.
