Can you change colors in Splatoon 3?

So many colors.

Splatoon 3 is all about inking your turf and rocking the freshest look. While your hairstyle and gear determine your look, colors are important too. As your hair and ink color match, you may wonder if you can change the color of your Inkling or Octolings hair and ink in Splatoon 3.

While you can change ink color in Splatoon 3, you cannot do so manually. When joining a match, your color and that of your teammates and enemy team are determined randomly. The only time colors are manually chosen is during Splatfests, when all teams have designated colors.

Can you change your hair color in Splatoon 3?

Like your ink color, you cannot change your hair color manually. It is determined by the color of the last multiplayer match you played. After leaving the lobby, your hair will remain the same color as your team's previous color. Alternatively, you can exit the game and reload it to change your hair color randomly.

As you cannot manually change your hair or ink color, you are stuck with whatever the game decides to give you. If you are someone who enjoys taking photos in Splatoon 3, cycle through matches until you get the perfect color. Otherwise, just enjoy the chaos of your ever-changing Inkling and Octoling.
