How to throw Golden Eggs in Splatoon 3 Salmon Run

These eggs won't turn themselves in.

Salmon Run became an instant hit when it was first introduced in Splatoon 2 and has made a triumphant return in Splatoon 3. It has seen some upgrades, including no time restrictions, new bosses, and the ability to throw Golden Eggs, either ahead of you or into the basket. This may leave you wondering how to throw Golden Eggs in Splatoon 3.

How to turn in Golden Eggs from a distance in Splatoon 3

To throw a Golden Egg into the basket in Splatoon 3's Salmon Run, you must first pick up a Golden Egg. Once you have your treasure firmly in hand, aim and press the A button. This will toss your Golden Egg in that direction, roughly the same distance you can throw a Splat Bomb. You must have enough ink in your canister, the same amount as you would for a Splat Bomb, to be able to throw it.

This saves you time from having to go all the way to the basket and turn the Golden Egg in, but you can now pass off Golden Eggs to your ally. One player can collect the Golden Eggs and throw them one by one toward the basket, allowing you to create a chain and work with your teammates to turn in Golden Eggs quickly.

This is especially helpful when the Fish Stick spawns, as all the Golden Eggs it drops will be on top of the pillar. One player can simply throw all the eggs down, making collecting them much easier. But you also need to keep an eye on free Golden Eggs, as Salmonids will try to steal them back.
