Starship Troopers - Terran Command will follow the lore of the book and movie but only very loosely. In the game's story, humans fight back against the bugs on the desert planet Kwalasha.
The marketing director, Marco A. Minoli, said during a SlitherineTV Twitch interview that the developers would not change the lore and that there would be no characters from the movie appearing in the game. That also means that there won't be characters from the book, since the movie loosely followed the book's characters.

The game takes place during the war against Arachnids. In the movie, there was a lot of emphasis placed on the battle against the Arachnids. The bugs were also major villains in the book. Rico is the book's main character, and he is the focus of the story. Rico did not deploy to Kwalasha. As a result, the game will not interfere with the book's story; it will add to it.
Starship Troopers - Terran Command will be exclusively released on Steam on March 31, 2022.
