How to level up quickly in Starstruck Vagabond

Try it now, before they patch it!

By now, you should know how to pilot your spaceship like a pro, so it's time to prove it by leveling like your life depended on it (which it does). Read on to find out how those in the know do it. Be warned, it's going to get dirty.

The trick to leveling up quickly in Starstruck Vagabond

This is going to seem like an exploit. Hell, it might be an exploit. But the way I see it, if you're going to start losing health as soon as your stamina depletes, then it behooves you to get as much stamina and health as you can as quickly as you can by any means necessary. If you have to bend the game mechanics to do it, then so be it.

First, take your ship out into open space away from any planets, and bring up the System Map on the command console. You're looking for dust clouds, and any will do. Make sure you don't have any mechanical or life-support issues. Just do a spot inspection and make sure nothing needs repairing or cleaning. Once you're done, point the ship into the heart of the dust cloud and engage.

Good sense and prudence would tell you not to fly through the cloud, they'd also tell you not to aim your ship for as many of the individual dust clouds as you can. To hell with good sense and prudence, we're leveling! Fly through as many as you can. Don't worry, all will become clear.

This is the warning symbol that pops up when dust starts to clog vital ship equipment. When you start to see these appear, you know you're doing it right. The more of them you see, the better. Pass through the dust cloud, get out into open space, and stop.

Your ship should now be awash with these blue symbols. That's the signal for you to bust out the Ionic Cleanser and start cleaning the components for all their worth. You'll find most of the dirt got trapped in your Air Cyclers and the Reserve Coolant Tank, but it can't hurt to go around and check everything. Because guess what, for every speck of dirt you clean out of the systems, you'll be earning XP.

Don't forget to suit up and perform an E.V.A. on the outside of the hull. There are a few systems up there that might be packed full of the grey gold. The residue will most likely be hiding in the ram scoop array, but there's always the power generator and the impulse engine as well.

Now everything's clean, and there's only one thing left to do: turn your ship around and do it all again from the other side of the cloud. You'll have maximum stamina and health before you know it.

If you aren't quite ready to start power-leveling and you just want to get the warp engine going, check out how to fuel your ship in Starstruck Vagabond on Pro Game Guides now.
