The highly anticipated FPS, The FINALS, captured the attention of gamers when first announced, thanks to its impressive-looking gameplay and environmental destruction. Developer Embark Studios has returned with the start of a series of behind-the-scenes episodes to showcase the game's making further.
The FINALS Twitter states, "In the first episode of our MAKING THE FINALS series, our Audio Director @Kranium6000 describes how we captured combat sounds in an abandoned factory." Using this abandoned factory on the outskirts of Stockholm allows the development team to create authentic sound and enhance the gameplay experience for The FINALS.
Embark Studios used a submachine gun firing pistol charges, an assault rifle that fires intermediate cartridges, and a machine gun that fires rifle cartridges. This small variety of weapons and the different firing methods allow Embark Studios to create the best possible audio experience for players. In addition, the locations and recording techniques further enhance how the audio sounds and captures each aspect of The FINALS.
Embark Studios shows a dedication to creating the best possible experience for The FINALS, and this first episode gives a clear look at this behind the scenes. Future episodes will likely further dive into other aspects of The FINALS leading up to the release and beta.
