Can you rotate buildings in The Last Spell?

Can the last bastion of humanity be rotated?

The Last Spell has you fighting for the future of mankind. It is a rogue-lite, turn-based RPG game where you fight off hordes of advancing undead enemies using spells and brute force. Your heroes can take a brief respite to rebuild damaged city defenses before the next wave of enemies moves for the next onslaught. Some players have wondered if it's possible to rotate buildings in this game, and in this article, we will give you the answer.

Can buildings be rotated in The Last Spell?

Currently, there is no way for you to rotate buildings in The Last Spell, either before or after the construction process. The Last Spell uses a distinctive art-style in drawing its buildings. While creating your village and keeping it in one piece is a primary objective in the game, you don't have the freedom to choose the building placements and how everything looks in the city. Instead, the game will show you where to place your structures by marking the positions with green tiles.

Building rotation has been a commonly requested feature by the player base. Since the game is now officially out of the Early Access phase of release, it is unlikely the developers will ever add this functionality. (If they do, I will update this article.) The game uses pre-drawn building illustrations, which would require they add more and different drawings, making it more unlikely.
