How to craft weapons and upgrade your Mecha in The Riftbreaker

Craft to survive.

In The Riftbreaker, your primary method of survival is Mr. Riggs, your mecha suit. Mr. Riggs can be upgraded to improve its durability as well as the weapons available to it. At the start of the game, Mr. Riggs is fairly weak and cannot take much damage without dying. Players can change this by upgrading and trying new weapon combinations.

To craft weapons in The Riftbreaker, you will need to press the Esc key. Navigate to the symbol that looks like two crossed pickaxes. This is the crafting menu. Here, players can craft weapons, mecha upgrades, abilities, and more. Once an item is crafted, it is placed in your inventory and can be equipped.

Crafting weapons and upgrades require a set number of resources. At the start of the game, the player's options are limited to what they can craft. To expand these options, players will need to complete research.

As Mr. Riggs is fairly weak at the start of the game, players will want to prioritize upgrading their mecha and crafting new weapons, especially if they plan to explore further from their base. Having a mix of different weapon types and multiple abilities will prepare the player for any situation.
