How to fix the broken supply lines bug in Total War: Warhammer 3

Supply chain issues.

In Total War: Warhammer 3, Supply Lines represent how much unit upkeep costs. If you have many Lords leading your armies, or you are penalized by a random event, then the upkeep of units goes up. This is normally a reasonable mechanic, which only affects players in extreme situations. However, a recent bug has made it where penalties to Supply Lines are never removed.

Unfortunately, there is currently no easy way to remove the Supply Lines bug. However, because the Supply Lines penalties are tied to Lords, you can deliberately kill your Lord, which will remove this penalty.

Other than that, there is currently no way to avoid this Supply Lines bug. This can be devastating on higher difficulties, but on Normal or Easy, the natural, built-in advantages usually prevent this.

Luckily, Creative Assembly is aware of this bug. It’s likely that this error will be patched before the first major update and expansion to the game.

Right now, though, this game-breaking bug will cripple players attempting to complete the campaign who rely on many Lords or late-game armies. It’s not impossible to complete a campaign, but it's very difficult without luck.
