Total War: Warhammer 3 is an incredibly detailed game with some incredible graphics, so it’s a shame that, by default, the game can look like a blurry mess. Something in the base settings of the game affects the way the models look, giving them a hazy or sometimes even pixelated look.

Luckily, there’s a small tweak that can help you avoid the blurriness. By default, the Anti-aliasing used in Total War: Warhammer 3 is set to TAA or TAA High. This is the cause of the blurry look.
To change this, head to the options and select Graphics. Navigate to the Advanced options, and Anti-aliasing should be the first option. Change the setting to FXAA. This should fix the blur. You should also turn off Depth of Field if you don’t want units in the distance to look blurry.
Additionally, modifying the Texture Filtering and a few other settings, such as Texture Quality and Shadow detail, effectively sharpen the game. Overall, as long as you’re moving the quality higher while reducing effects like filtering and Depth of Field, you’ll avoid blur.
If your game is still blurry, you should experiment with more graphical options, but the Anti-aliasing is the big culprit, here. Enjoy your crisp, clean character models!
