How to research in Two Point Campus

Expand your campus by researching new technologies and ideas!

Two Point Campus is the perfect chill simulation experience for PC and Xbox. It allows players to delve into their creativity and organization and take on the challenge of running their own college campuses. They will be met with some unique difficulties as they delve into magic and put a stop to an evil curse, put back together a notorious party school, and create the music stars of the future from the ground up. It's up to you to run the school and help it grow by keeping the students happy and by continuously advancing the criteria and equipment of your campus––and a great way to do that is by researching!

To research, you will need a Research Lab. They are a pricier room to build, but well worth the cost. You can add additional equipment to your lab, but the most important is the large machinery. This is used to research different materials for your campus to expand. Clicking on the machine will allow you to start a new research project. However, in order to research, you will need a researcher.

Any teacher is capable of doing research in your lab, but staff with the research skill will significantly boost your research speed and power. Hover over any staff members while hiring or already hired, and look for the telescope icon––this indicates that they are experienced researchers. You can pick them up and place them in your lab to delegate the task to them.

The researcher doesn't have to be in the room for you to select a project. Simply press Start New Project on your lab machinery, and choose the project you wish to complete. Depending on the project, it can take several in-game days to finish researching and cost you some money. However, for the project to progress, the staff members must be present in the room at all times.

Seeing as the staff might have other responsibilities on campus, they might leave the room, pausing your process until they reenter. A red teacher hat symbol will pop up in place of your project meter, signaling you to add another researcher or wait for them to return. Once the meter is full, it will prompt you that your project is complete, and your hard work will be paid off with bountiful rewards!

Completing a research project can mean plenty of helpful rewards for your campus. It can unlock new items for classrooms, earn you extra money, or develop improved equipment upgrades that boost learning stats. Sometimes students will require specific items for their classes that can only be unlocked through research, which is why it's essential for you to keep researching as much as possible to advance your campus along with your growing classes.

Research is vital for any hopeful company seeking growth and success. That's why it's an excellent idea for your campus––you can provide a well-rounded, technologically advanced, and prepared environment for your students. Keep up the good work, and your campus will be thriving!
