All major highlights in Valorant Patch 6.02!

A lot of vital changes are being made by Riot Games in the latest Valorant Patch 6.02. Firstly, Riot Games have finally addressed the issue with high ping that allows them to register shoots even after going behind covers by reducing the max server rewind time from 200ms to 140ms. The other notable highlight in the patch notes is the shifting of the vital Voice Evaluation feature that is used to scan toxic voice chat into a beta phase.

All gameplay changes and fixes in Valorant patch 6.02

Though there are several changes the in the upcoming Valorant patch 6.02, we have highlighted some of the major ones in the below list.

  • As mentioned earlier, the highlight of the patch update is the adjustment of the max server rewind from 200 ms to 140 ms. Doing this will allow players of low ping to feel much more secure and avoid getting shot after reaching a cover from high ping players, as they will now face hit-shot inaccuracy.
  • Frenzy and Bulldog will not be much quieter while reloading in the third-person view.
  • Fixed issue with the voice chat that usually bugs cut after being disconnected from the internet.

All agent bug fixes in Valorant patch 6.02

  • Your Fakeout will no longer get stuck in mid-air when activated.
  • Raze Boom Bot has improved pathfinding capabilities and will no longer get stuck in a wall, making unnecessary noises.
  • KAY/O will accurately show the number and the images of enemies hit by his Zero/Point.
  • Cypher Natural Theft will reveal enemies' position only once and be interrupted if Cypher is killed after the deployment.

All map bug fixes in Valorant patch 6.02

  • Players will not make footsteps noise while jumping from the Lotus B site platform onto the fountain.
  • All door volumes in the Lotus have been reduced while rotating.
  • Players will longer spawn on the wrong side of Barrier C after the end of the round.
  • Users will no longer see the Paul Delmann badge after the end of the buy phase.

Voice Evaluation feature to enter Beta phase with Patch 6.02

As mentioned earlier, the other major highlight of the patch is shifting the Voice Evaluation feature into the Beta phase. Riot Games launched the feature last June, 2022 as a background feature to train their language models. A year later, that feature is getting further enhancement helping the developers in data collection capabilities and identifying inappropriate behavior exhibited by players using all the trained data, playing a vital role in reducing the overall toxicity in the Valorant community. As of now, the Voice Evaluation Beta is only available in North America, with plans to expand further.
