What is the Bone evolution in Vampire Survivors?

No need to be Bone-headed about this one

In Vampire Survivors, the character Mortaccio starts with the Bone weapon. This weapon is unique to Mortaccio and works similarly to the Runetracer, except it bounces off enemies. But does the Bone have an evolution?

Unfortunately, the Bone does not have an evolution. Unlike other weapons, there’s no combination of items that allow the Bone to evolve. Instead, the Bone has great scaling up to level eight. The scaling is as follows:

  • Level 1 - Start
  • Level 2 - Effect lasts 0.2 seconds longer. Base area up by 20%.
  • Level 3 - Base damage up by 20. Fires 1 more projectile.
  • Level 4 - Base speed up by 50%. Base area up by 20%.
  • Level 5 - Base damage up by 20. Fires 1 more projectile.
  • Level 6 - Base damage up by 5. Effect lasts 0.3 seconds longer.
  • Level 7 - Base Damage up by 20.
  • Level 8 - Effect lasts 0.2 seconds longer. Base speed increased by 50%.

So, while the Bone does not have an evolution, Mortaccio is still a great character. Combined with his bonus to projectile amount every 20 levels, he can scale to the late game very well.

To unlock Mortaccio and the Bone, you’ll need to defeat a total of 3000 skeletons during any run with any character. Then, Mortaccio will be available from the character select screen for purchase for 600 gold.
