How to sneak in War Mongrels

Move quietly or die.

War Mongrels throws the player into a brutal, gritty, and realistic strategy game set within World War II. They will need to use many abilities and tactics if they have any hope of surviving. As such, sneaking will be an important tactic for them.

When it comes to stealth, players have a few options in how they sneak in War Mongrels. They can right-click on an enemy to see their sightline and know where to avoid moving. Typically enemies have a solid sightline that will spot a character no matter what. A sight line broken up by bars will not spot a crawling character, however.

To crawl, players can select single or multiple characters. They can then either press the space bar or select the crawl option on the hotkey bar. This makes the player move slower, but they can avoid detection better. Another option players have is to click when moving, which will make the characters walk slowly. Pressing twice will cause them to run and produce a lot of noise.

It is often better to try and sneak past confrontations or simply use stealth to get into better positions. Players should use a mixture of stealth and combat to overcome War Mongrels' challenges.
