Quick Thinking is a rare mod in Warframe that allows frames with large energy reserves to build almost entirely offensive, forgoing the need for mods like Vitality and Redirection. It is a useful mod as it provides a significant defensive measure, allowing for more variable builds to be created through other mods without overinvesting. Here's everything we know about Quick Thinking in Warframe.
How to get the Quick Thinking mod in Warframe
Quick Thinking is only obtainable from Corrupted Ancients enemies found in the Orokin Tower tileset. They are Orokin-controlled Infested Ancient Healers, so they are easily identifiable. Unfortunately, the drop rate for this mod is notoriously low, so we recommend running a survival mission located in the Void for a long-duration farm session.
What does the Quick thinking mod in Warframe do, explained
Quick Thinking allows you to survive lethal damage, using your Energy, draining it instead of your Health. This effect only works once your frame's Health drops to 2. Increasing the ranks of this mod improves its Energy efficiency and damage reduction. Below is a quick chart detailing the effects of each rank:
Rank | Energy Efficiency | Damage Reduction | Cost |
---|---|---|---|
0 | 40% | -150% | 10 |
1 | 80% | -25% | 11 |
2 | 120% | 16.667% | 12 |
3 | 160% | 37.5% | 13 |
4 | 200% | 50% | 14 |
5 | 240% | 58.333% | 15 |
We highly recommend only using this mod at its max rank, as lower ranks will drain your Energy extremely fast. We also recommend having an additional method of restoring your Energy quickly. The aura mod, Power, and craft-able Squad Energy Restores are a good way of doing this. This is important because you cannot die with this mod equipped as long as you have Energy. It might just save your life one day.
