With the release of the next Warframe content update, Citrine's Last Wish, comes Citrine herself. Citrine is a female, geode-themed Warframe with a kit focused on being supportive toward her allies. She is able to apply several status effects on large groups of enemies very quickly and provides significant sustain through her passive and shielding. If Citirine sounds interesting to you, here's everything you need to know about how to get this shiny new Warframe.
Where to get Citrine parts and blueprint in Warframe
There are two ways to obtain Citrine: through normal gameplay and through platinum. As the title suggests, all three Citrine components can be farmed from rotation C of the brand-new Mirror Defense mission type introduced in Citrine's Last Wish update. Here are the drop rates:
- Blueprint - Rare (6.8% chance)
- Chassis - Rare (4.5% chance)
- Neuroptics - Rare (4.5% chance)
- Systems - Rare (4.5% chance)
To play Mirror Defense, you need to have cleared up to Augustus, Mars on the Star Map. Tyana Pass, Mars is the node that follows Augustus and is the source of the Mirror Defense game mode.
Since this is the free method of obtaining Citrine, expect to grind Mirror Defense for quite some time before seeing any real results. You'll also need Citrine's blueprints, which can be purchased from Otak on Deimos. As this method requires access to Deimos, you must complete the quest, Heart of Deimos.
The other, much faster method is to buy Citrine directly from the Warframe in-game store. Citrine costs 375 platinum, the standard cost of a new Warframe, Platinum can be obtained either by purchasing it with real money or by trading it in-game through selling sought-after items such as mods. If you don't want to wait or grind, this is the best way to obtain Citrine.
