Windrider Origins - All Classes Ranked

All classes have its benefits and downsides. We'll showcase each class in the game so that you can figure out which one is the best for your playstyle. Overall, all classes are balanced in terms of strengths, so it mostly comes down to preference.

Saber

ProsCons
+ Great for beginners due to his balanced stats (both offense and defense)- Since this is a melee-focused class, ranged options are extremely limited
+ Great skills make it easier to clear tougher enemies. He even has AoE skills to take out hordes- He is a bit slower (attack speed and movement) than some of the other classes, making him fall behind in fast-paced combat
+ Gains tons of HP and defense, allowing him to tank attacks without any issues/

This is the 'starting class' as it is the most balanced in terms of attacks and defense. Saber is optimal for newer players due to his ability to tank attacks, which gives him plenty of room for error. During the early game, you can sit back and let the game auto-fight all battles for you because the Saber is a safe class where you don't have to micromanage too much.

As you level up, you'll unlock stronger skills that will take out enemies easily thanks to your high DPS and consistent damage. Plus, due to his high HP and defenses, you can tank damage for your team without worrying about losing all your HP. This makes him ideal against bosses and when clearing pet dungeons.

Assassin

ProsCons
+ High burst damage allows you to take out strong enemies or bosses quickly- Low HP makes him a vulnerable target
+ High mobility thanks to stealth skills. This lets you move around the map without any issues and get behind the enemy- High skill ceiling due to long cooldown skills and weak AoE abilities
+ Extremely high single-target damage- Less room for error, especially against stronger bosses

The Assassin is a strong character that deals tons of burst single-target damage to take out strong enemies swiftly. His stealth skills allow him to sneak out the map and get behind enemies without being spotted. This is great against bosses because you can get a head start on them while they can't attack you.

With so much reward comes high risk as well. The Assassin is a difficult character if you want to use him effectively. His major spells have a long cooldown, making him a sitting duck after using those abilities. This gives players less room for error as they have to properly time their skills instead of spamming them.

Archer

ProsCons
+ Attacks from a safe distance - Gets in trouble when enemies get too close due to her low HP and defenses
+ Consistent and high DPS- She can struggle against tougher bosses or enemies that have a lot of HP due to her low burst damage
+ Good mobility and battlefield control thanks to her spells- Doesn't have optimal debuff or crowd control skills

If you want to find a class that can attack from a safe distance without taking damage, the Archer is your best friend. She can deal a good amount of DPS thanks to her consistent attack and skill damage. Plus, her skills have a lower cooldown than other classes, allowing her to spam abilities.

Her skills also give her tons of mobility to move around the map and control the battlefield by repositioning in case enemies get too close. However, due to her not having good crowd control spells, you'll have to move around a lot to avoid enemies targeting you.

Caster

ProsCons
+ Great against multiple enemies due to powerful AoE spells- Low HP
+ Being a ranged character allows you to stay safe from bosses when fighting in a raid- You need to position yourself properly, or you'll take tons of damage each run
+ Strong buffs and debuffs for your team and enemies, respectively- Uses a lot of mana for certain spells, making it difficult to use powerful abilities constantly

The Caster excels in using strong AoE spells to take out multiple enemies at once. This is great for clearing mobs as you can easily take them out and progress without having to spend a lot of time on them. She also deals good damage to bosses thanks to a few of her powerful single-target spells.

The Caster can also provide useful buffs for herself and her team, like increased damage, healing, or increased resistances. On the other hand, she also debuffs enemies to reduce their damage to make certain fights easier.

This is a great class for players who prefer sitting in the back and using magic. However, her HP and defenses are low, which makes her vulnerable to enemies that come too close.
