All Status Effects in Wo Long and how to cure them

Element weaknesses are the key

In Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, every type of elemental attack or spell has some sort of secondary effect that they can apply. In most cases, this secondary effect is either a buff or a debuff, but with enough application from a raw element, a Status can be applied that corresponds. Statuses are powerful debuffs that inflict debilitating effects that often cannot be ignored. Statuses, however, can be cured if the correct counter element is used against them. Here are all five Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty status effects, and how to cure them.

How to cure all Status Effects in Wo Long Fallen Dynasty

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty uses five elements that apply to the five Virtues associated with your character stats. Each one can apply its own specific status effect if used enough against a target. These elements are:

  • Lightning - Applies the Shock status, which reduces Toxin resistance and decreases Spirit over time.
  • Flame - Applies the Burn status, which reduces Ice resistance and applies a fire DoT (Damage over Time) effect.
  • Stone - Applies the Heaviness status, which reduces Lightning resistance and increases Spirit damage. Those suffering from this status effect also cannot generate Spirit as quickly.
  • Toxic - Applies the Poison status, which reduces Flame Resistance, applies a minor DoT, and prevents all other negative effects from lessening in duration.
  • Ice - Applies the Chill status, which reduces Stone resistance and increases Spirit depletion during High Spirit. In addition, prevents Spirit recovery while in Low Spirit.

As you may have noticed, every status makes the afflicted weaker to another type of damage. As such, you'll want mix-and-match status effects that work in favor of the elements you're focusing on.

How to cure Shock

Shock is extremely dangerous to have on you, as it is always draining your Spirit. Removing it as soon as possible is recommended. In order to cure the Shock status, cast a Metal Phase buff spell on yourself. This will instantly remove the status and any other negative effects associated with the Wood tree.

How to cure Heaviness

Heaviness is debilitating as it messes with your Spirit economy in almost every way possible. In order to cure the Heaviness status, cast a Wood Phase buff spell on yourself. This will instantly remove the status and any other negative effects associated with the Earth tree.

How to cure Poison

Poison is one of the more dangerous status effects, and should be prioritized if it is inflicted upon you. In order to cure the Poison status, cast a Fire Phase buff spell on yourself. This will instantly remove the status and any other negative effects associated with the Metal tree.

How to cure Burn

This status is straightforward but just as deadly as the others via damage. In order to cure the Burn status, cast a Water Phase buff spell on yourself. This will instantly remove the status and any other negative effects associated with the Fire tree.

How to cure Chill

Despite being another Spirit hampering status, it is just as big a problem as the others. In order to cure the Chill status, cast an Earth Phase buff spell on yourself. This will instantly remove the status and any other negative effects associated with the Earth tree.
