Starting the game out with a strong word is important, and has a huge impact on how many guesses it takes for many players to solve the puzzle. Here are some tips and starting words to help players up their game.

There are a few basic tips many word puzzle games already know, but are important to take into account when trying to solve a Wordle puzzle:

  • e, t, a, i, o, n, s, h, and r are the most used letters in the English language
  • t, a, o, d, and w are the most common letters to start English words
  • e, s, d, and t are the most common last letters in English words

Players starting a Wordle puzzle should also aim to use five unique letters to better narrow down the ones they need for the final word.
