With Raid Finder (LFR) now released in WoW Dragonflight, you may just be wondering if participating in it is even worth your time. This is especially the case you're already doing the Vaults of the Incarnate raid or grinding away in Mythic+. Fortunately, we have all the intel you need to answer this question.
Is LFR worth your time in WoW Dragonflight?
The short answer is yes. LFR is worth your time if you do not yet have your entire class tier set. Despite the fact that LFR gear drops are generally rather low, tier pieces can still drop from their respective bosses, making LFR completely worth the separate lockout to complete. This is the main advantage, but there are other smaller advantages to LFR as well.
Learning fights through LFR
LFR is a low-stakes, low-pressure environment that allows you to learn the general aspects of every fight in the current raid. Only one wing of LFR is open, meaning the first four bosses, but over time the other wings will open as well. Loot drops are on the lower side, and the odds of getting proper upgrades are low if you've been doing normal end-game content. But still, this is an advantage.
Supplement Gearing through LFR
If you're not one that does typical end-game through Mythic+ or Normal-or-higher raids, then the odds of finding useful gear from LFR are much higher, adding to its value of it. The gear that drops in LFR is still better than anything you'd find in Heroic dungeons and likely higher than most drops you'd get from the Dragon Isles overworld. Besides that, sometimes an important trinket is needed for your proper DPS. While trinkets are also affected by ilvl, their main abilities usually remain the same, making the trip into LFR still valuable.
