Generally considered the most successful MMORPG of all time, Blizzard’s World of Warcraft is still going strong today. It had a few rocky moments in recent years, but the Dragonflight expansion has been receiving rave reviews from current and former players alike. One of its highlights was the Reviving the Machine quest, which introduced the Revival Catalyst. A quest leads you to it initially, but it's easy to forget where things are in such a massive game. So, you may well be asking, where is the Catalyst located in WoW Dragonflight?
How do I get to the Revival Catalyst in WoW?
The Revival Catalyst can be found in Tyrhold, east of Valdrakken, in The Waking Shored (coordinates 59.5, 53.5). You dragon ride in from the top of the Seat of the Aspects in Valdrakken. If you haven’t been at all yet, speak with NPC Watcher Koranos while at the Seat of the Aspects and take the quest Reviving the Machine, which will guide you directly to the Catalyst. When you arrive, head to NPC Antuka, the Catalyst Steward, standing next to the catalyst’s console.

The Catalyst allows you to make tier pieces by turning standard gear into tier gear, where previously, you had to hope for RNG luck when taking down Vault bosses. Once found, the process of upgrading your gear is simple. Drag the item into the Creation Catalyst menu and click transform. Crafted gear cannot be transformed, and you’ll need a Catalyst Charge to activate the catalyst. These are received by completing the account-wide weekly quest Revival Catalyst, and your total charges are capped at six.
