Nova is a Wuthering Waves ascension material that resembles a glowing blue flower and is native to The Black Shores. It can be used to ascend the Shorekeeper and potentially other characters in the future. If you need to stock up on Nova, head to the locations below to farm it.
Where to farm Nova in Wuthering Waves
Before farming for Nova, you need to unlock two areas: Black Shores Archipelago and Tethys' Deep. These can only be unlocked by completing the Jinzhou Rising Main Quest series up to the Black Shores chapter. Without completing this prerequisite, most of this area will be inaccessible.
Black Shores Archipelago
Refer to the image above to find all Nova in the Black Shores Archipelago. Each star represents a general location for the local flower but may contain clusters of more than one. See below for directions on how to get to each marked location:
- Head to the western Resonance Beacon and head southward. You don't have to walk far before a group of enemies circling a lone Nova will come into view.
- Head to the central Resonance Beacon in Tethys Hub, then head to the south direction, following the area marked above. Once you get close, you'll find stairs leading toward a small cave, where you can pick up two Nova by some glowing corals. There's also a hole at the center where you can jump down to find two more Nova.
- Head to the same central Resonance Beacon in Tethys Hub, then glide downward in the northeast direction, following the marked location. You'll arrive at the foot of stony mountains close to the shoreline. You can pick up three Nova here.
- Head to the northeast Resonance Beacon and enter the cave. Follow the path toward the marked location to find two Nova by some glowing corals.
Tethys' Deep
Since Tethys' Deep is a large area, I spliced the map into two. In the northern section, you can find some Nova around the outskirts of the Modulation Hall. Follow the directions below to find them:
- Head to the Resonance Beacon in Modulation Hall, then glide down in the southeast direction until you reach the waterfall surrounded by glowing corals. You'll find five Nova on a large boulder at the foot of the waterfall.
- From the first location, keep heading eastward then northeast (be careful to avoid the enemy area) to find the second area. It's located on a rock formation nearly submerged in water, where you'll find three Nova.
There is plenty of Nova in the lower half of Tethys' Deep. Each marked location contains one to three Nova beside each other. Refer to the directions below to find them.
Locations one to six, eight to nine, 13 to 14, and 16 to 18 all follow connecting routes, so I recommend farming them together.
- From the Resonance Beacon in Eidoscope, head southeast and go up the stairs. You'll find nine Nova in the field of flowers.
- From the edge of the western cliff from location #1, glide downward until you reach a small, rock islet housing four Nova.
- While the third area looks like it's on top of a mountain, it's actually located underneath. From location #2, swim northeast to get to location #3, where you'll find two Nova beside a lantern.
- From location #3, swim toward location #4, where you'll find two Nova on a rock overlooking the sea.
- From location #4, run toward location #5, where you can pick up three Nova at the edge of the rock overlooking the sea.
- From location #5, head to location #6 to find three Nova similarly at the edge of the rocky land area by the sea. Keep in mind these are a little more spaced out.
- Head to the Resonance Beacon in the Energy Hub to find four Nova in the surrounding water.
- From the Energy Hub Resonance Beacon, head north to get to the marked location, where you'll find three Nova in the layered fountain.
- From location #8, head northeast to get to location #9, where you'll find three Nova in the shallow water.
- Head to the Resonance Beacon north of the Bank of Life. There are two Nova by a small rock formation northward, and three Nova by the foot of the mountain southward. These are only a few steps away, so it's an easy place to farm Nova.
- From the same Resonance Beacon north of the Bank of Life, head southwest and glide down to find three Nova close to the water and three more at the foot of the mountain.
- Again, from the Resonance Beacon north of the Bank of Life, head east and glide toward the rocky shore. You'll find three Nova on a boulder.
- Head to the Resonance Beacon south of the Bank of Life. Go up the stairs, then head east to find another staircase. There are two Nova at the foot of the staircase and one above it.
- From location #13, head east and glide down toward the shoreline, where you'll find three Nova sitting on a rock.
- Still from the southernmost Resonance Beacon from the Bank of Life, head southeast and glide down to the bridge above the water. You can pick up three Nova to its left. Keep heading southeast to find three more Nova close to the shoreline.
- Teleport to the Resonance Beacon in the Error Cell. Face the southeast direction and keep going down the staircases until you read the start of the road. There are two Nova located by the landscape on the right and one on the left of the staircase.
- From location #16, head north, and without gliding down, follow the path toward the marked area. You can pick up three Nova at the foot of the mountain.
- From location #17, head east and glide down to the edge of the shoreline, where you'll spot three Nova beside some pointy rocks.
- Head to the Resonance Beacon in the Error Cell. Head north, then glide down to the edge of the shoreline. There are four Nova on a boulder.
Nova is a flower that rarely grows alone, so you may find two or three in each location while exploring the areas marked above. You can get over 100 Nova in the overworld. If this number isn't enough for you, I suggest going to the friend's world and asking for permission to farm.
