How to switch between equipped Echo skills in Wuthering Waves

While our MC may have their weapon for hacking and slashing away at enemies, they can also channel the abilities of Echoes that they capture on their adventure. In the Echoes menu, though, you'll be able to equip different Echoes into five slots, but in combat, you'll only see one Echo ability you can use through the LB menu. So how do you switch Echo skills in Wuthering Waves?

Long story short, you can only use the 'active ability' of the Echo equipped in your top slot. Any other Echoes you have equipped in slots further down will only grant you 'passive' abilities.

For example, in the screenshot above, only the Echo skill of my Stonewall Bracer will be something I can activate by pressing LB/ L1 on a controller or Q on keyboard.

Any other Echoes you have equipped in lower slots will grant you their 'Sonata Effects.' Though, it's worth noting that to enable these you'll need to meet their set bonus requirements, indicated by the numbers in parentheses next to them. You can see this in the screenshot below.

As such, if you want to change your active Echo skill, you'll need to put the Echo whose ability you want to use in the top slot. You may want to change your Echo skill depending on the combat situation and your party composition. For example, if you need your MC to heal themselves up more, having the Hoartoise in your top equipped slot that can provide healing may be better.
