The Illusive Realm returns to WuWa in Dreams Ablaze in Darkness event

Time to enter the glowy door again!

Depths of Illusive Realm was an event that ran in Wuthering Waves from May 23 to June 27, 2024. It was a popular event, with plenty of players wishing that KURO Games would add it to the game permanently. Unbeknownst to WuWa fans, it looks like the devs are planning just that with a second version of the Realms coming to the game on July 4, 2024.

From July 4, players will be able to enjoy the new Dreams Ablaze in Darkness event, which takes place in the Illusive Realm, and can be found through the same glowing door that the first event was. Looking at the promotional image, it seems that the door will be in the exact same location as the previous one - given that there are clearly floating cars nearby.

There are some new features that players will see in this event that weren't available in the previous Illusive Realm event. These include:

  • Memetic Tuning - Gives you four options to adjust the difficulty of your run.
  • Symphony Rank - A skill buff that activates during combat. It increases when you attack and decreases when you get hit. If you reach a high enough rank during a fight, you'll get a special buff to assist you in battle.
  • Tokens - Awarded after completing a challenge in the Memory Zone, a Token can give you different attribute bonuses or strength-boosting items.
