How to fix Mike-01 error in XDefiant

Get rid of this pesky error!

Similar to other online multiplayer games, XDefiant is filled to the brim with dreaded error codes and one of them is Mike-01. It prevents you from entering multiplayer sessions which makes the game a whole lot less fun. So here's a look at all potential fixes to get rid of the Mike-01 error in XDefiant.

XDefiant Mike-01 error code fixes

The MIKE-01 error code typically appears when your system can't establish a reliable connection with the Ubisoft servers. It's usually caused by the servers being overcrowded or offline due to maintenance. So make sure you check the XDefiant server status before performing any troubleshooting steps. If the servers are fully operational, then I suggest following these methods to fix the MIKE-01 error code:

Restart your WiFi router

Restarting your internet connection is one of the most effective ways to resolve the MIKE-01 issue in XDefiant. Instead of disabling your connection via the Networking and Sharing center, I recommend rebooting your WiFi router which establishes a fresh connection with the game servers, sometimes with a new WAN IP address.

Apart from this, you can also check your internet connection speed via various online speed tester tools. If you're getting slower internet speed than your actual plan, make sure to reach out to your ISP and raise a support ticket.

Disable VPN services

VPNs also known as Virtual Private Networks are well-known services for those who are more cautious about their online privacy. If you're among them and have turned on your VPN software, I recommend disabling it; otherwise, you'll continue to encounter the MIKE-01 error code.

Check for pending updates

Since Xdefiant has just been released across all major platforms, the developer is constantly releasing new updates and hotfixes to patch unexpected bugs and errors. So, the next thing you can do is make sure there are no pending updates via the Ubisoft client. If there are, get them downloaded and see if that fixes the issue.

Contact Ubisoft support

If none of the above methods work, getting in touch with the Ubisoft support team is your last hope of getting everything back on track. To raise a ticket, simply head to the XDefiant support page and log in to your Ubisoft account. Then, explain your issue in detail and attach all the relevant screenshots in the form. The support team may take a few hours to respond, so make sure to check back every couple of hours to resolve the Mike-01 error code quickly.
