How to defeat Mr. Shakedown in Yakuza 0

Get revenge on the biggest bully of Yakuza 0!

One of the earliest and toughest fights in the series, fighting Mr. Shakedown is an easy way to make money. When losing against him, players will lose all their money. The easiest and cheapest way around this is to use the Slime Gun.

How To Get The Slime Gun

In Chapter 3, during Majima's story, players will unlock The Dragon and Tiger weapons shop. This shop allows Majima to send out Agents to procure items and weapons from various locations. The best one to use is Hunter's Village in Japan.

Once players get their Slime Gun from their agents, they can begin to craft or purchase them. When Majima's agents come back with equipment, Kiryu can then purchase the same equipment in Kamurocho. The Slime Gun costs 660,000 Yen, and players can use the stronger versions of these elemental weapons as they unlock them.

Fighting With The Slime Gun

There are a few moments when Mr. Shakedown is immune when he begins to flex. Shooting at this point or while he is charging will deal no damage. The best times to fire the Slime Gun are after he attacks. Baiting out a charge and dodging out of the way is the best way to get into position. After dodging, players can get a few shots in until he turns around again.

Players should note that the aim can be finicky when changing the camera abruptly. Locking on again can help make sure that no shots are missed. In addition to the Slime Gun, players can also use the Zap Gun, Smoke Gun, and Golden Gun to make money easily from this powerful enemy.
