Are there pets in Zenith: The Last City?

Yay for pets!

Zenith: The Last City is Ramen VR's expansive MMORPG releasing in early access for Steam VR, Oculus, and PlayStation VR. While players can play with friends and join guilds, nothing beats the companionship of a pet. Naturally, this may leave players asking if pets in the Zenith: The Last City.

The answer is yes—there are pets in Zenith: The Last City. The only pet that has been confirmed is the DIngbo pet which was available in the Collector's Edition(now unavailable for purchase). In the official AMA, the developers confirmed that "the first iteration of pets is likely to be cosmetic specific, but not ruling out gameplay involving pets in the future."

Pets are a welcome feature to any game, even if they simply follow the player and have no effect on gameplay. That being said, the potential for pet interaction is great. Players could interact with them by feeding or playing with them. Pet battles are also an excellent way to implement pets in a fun way.

While pets may only be a cosmetic feature, giving them an effect on gameplay is a great way to incentivize players to purchase them. After all, who doesn't want an adorable critter following them around?
