In Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, players can complete different activities to earn Essence and other acquisitions. Defeating a Harvester Orb is also a cool challenge that you need to do for the Reaper Act 2 Tier 2 mission.
Complete the following mission objectives to receive a PHD Flopper Perk-a-Cola Can as a reward:
- Collect 15 items from Harvester Orbs.
- Destroy 3 Harvester Orbs.
Where to find Harvester Orbs in MW3 Zombies (Map Location)
Harvester Orbs are purple-colored floating Aetherial anomalies found across the MWZ map. These objects aren't marked on the tac map unless you're very close to them. Although there's no guaranteed spot to find one, the Harvester Orbs seem to spawn in certain areas multiple times. The locations where I've often found these entities have been marked on the map above.

How to destroy Harvester Orbs in MW3 Zombies
Get yourself a vehicle and drive it around the map looking for these balls of lightning. When you're close to a Harvester Orb, its unique icon will automatically appear on your mini-map (see image). To destroy this floating anomaly, simply use your weapon to shoot at it.
The orb will do rapid dashes when you hit it but its range is confined. Therefore, you will not lose it unless it tries to port away (see image). When the portal appears, it's imperative that you shoot the Harvester Orb else it may vanish. This is also when the anomaly remains still and is an easy target. Keep following and shooting the orb until it's destroyed to complete the activity. I managed to find three Harvester Orbs in a single match and completed the Reaper mission in one go.
How to collect items from Harvester Orbs in MWZ
The first part of the mission asks you to collect 15 items from Harvested Orbs. When you shoot the ball, it'll drop vials of glowing Essence on the ground every now and then. These are the items you need to collect. I suggest focusing on destroying the orb first and collecting its item drops later.
