Destiny 2: When does Guardian Games 2022 start/end? – Dates & Rewards

The fan-favorite game mode returns.

Although Destiny 2 received the massive "Witch Queen" expansion recently, the influx of content for the game isn't receding. The developers are bringing back the Guardian Games, a limited-time mode in which the three Guardian Classes—Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks—compete amongst one another for glory and awards.

Guardian Games 2022 Release Dates

In their recent blog post, the game developers at Bungie revealed that the Guardian Games 2022 will take place from May 3 to 24. This event will align with the end of the current season of Destiny 2.

Depending on their performance, guardians will be allocated special gold, silver, or bronze auras during each weekly ceremony. Moreover, Claim the Podium Closing Ceremonies will run from May 7 to 11. The winning class is acknowledged at the Guardian Games Closing Ceremonies.

Guardian Games 2022 Rewards

Anyone can compete in the Destiny 2 Guardian Games for free and secure the following rewards in the form of Spoils of Victory:

  • Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun and its Catalyst
  • Exotic Sparrow
  • One per Class legendary items
  • Two Emblems
  • A pair of Shaders

Furthermore, unlocking the Exotic Sparrow will also give you a chance to win the Guardian Games Track Jacket via Bungie Rewards. Participating in the final weekend’s Closing Ceremonies will unlock you a purchasable gold pin to celebrate the winning class.
