The hard-working developers of Blue Lock Rivals have blessed us with a rework of the Kurona style, making it much better in the process. It is based on the character with the same name from the popular Blue Lock anime. It's an amazing style that will surely help you score more goals in our beloved game. To find out the details about it, as well as how to get it, make sure to check out our How to get the Kurona Style in Blue Lock Rivals guide.
Kurona Style Unlock Guide
To unlock Kurona style in Blue Lock Rivals, you will have to utilize the in-game gatcha system of acquiring Styles. To get to them, press the Style button located on the lower side of the main menu screen, and once there, you should be able to see the Spin and Lucky Spin buttons, which can be found underneath your avatar. Perform the spin by clicking the appropriate button until you have unlocked the new Style. Even though you lose your current style when performing a Spin, you should be able to get it relatively easily since this is a Style of Epic rarity. Namely, it has a 10% drop chance, so you do not have to accumulate many Spins to ensure getting it. Furthermore, clicking the Kurona style in the Epic tab increases the chance to 15%, so make sure to do that, as the increase is not negligible. In fact, this style is so common that you can only use the regular Spins, as the Lucky Spins completely remove the lower tiers of Styles from the reward pool, thus making the Kurona style unobtainable using this method, as it is strictly limited to the Epic rarity.
Kurona Style Showcase - Blue Lock: Rivals
Below is a detailed explanation of all Skills and Abilities the reworked Kurona style offers inside Blue Lock: Rivals.
- One-Two (on the ball): Performs a one-two pass with a teammate just like with the old move, except this time the range has been increased to roughly 140 meters, making it much more versatile. A new animation for it has also been added.
- Shark Steal (off the ball): A fairly useful move that steals the ball from the opponent from a short range. It has also been given a new animation and updated so you do not have to face the opponent head-on. Namely, you can be side-on to him, and it will activate as long as you are in range.
- Bait Dribble (on the ball): A completely new move that has been added with this rendition of the Kurona style. Basically, you can perform a lightning-fast dribble in the direction of your choosing when you activate it. To control the dribble's direction, simply move the camera in the desired direction, and the game will automatically handle the rest. This move is especially useful compared to the dribble moves of other Styles, since it allows you to be unpredictable with the direction of the dribble, rather than going along a predetermined path which can be countered easily.
- Planet Hotline (Awakened, teammate on the ball): You can activate this move once you have entered the Awakening mode and are about 20 meters away from your teammate, and he has to have the ball in his possession. Once you have done that, your character will perform a powerful shot after an epic updated cutscene, which will surely make your heart race. The shot is so powerful that you can score with it even across more than half a court! This ability will surely become your main source of scoring goals when using this Style.
How is the reworked Kurona style better than the original?
The main things to look out for in the reworked Kurona Style are the new and buffed Abilities and Skills. Firstly, the range from which you can activate the One-Two ability has been significantly increased. Secondly, when performing Shark Steal, you can be side-on to your opponent, and the ability will still activate, as opposed to the old version, where you specifically had to face him head-on in order to get it to work. Thirdly, with the new version of the Kurona style came a completely new move called Bait Dribble, which lets you perform blazing-fast dribbles in any direction. Lastly, the move animations and Awakening cutscenes have been revamped, and though the changes are only visual, they mean a lot to dedicated players.
