The Vampire Race became available with the re-release of Rune Slayer in June 2025, and here's exactly how to get it. Now, even though you're supposed to roll (and re-roll) for your race, there is actually a F2P method to become the creature of the night in Rune Slayer that we will show you below.
How to become a Vampire in Rune Slayer
Since you probably don't want to spend your Robux on re-rolling your race over and over again, we'll show you another method to turn yourself into a Vampire in Rune Slayer. What you need to do is drink from a Vampire Blood Vial. So how do you get one in the game?
You can simply visit the Rune Slayer Discord and find someone willing to trade the item for something else, but if you don't want to risk getting scammed, here's how you can get the Vampire Blood Vial yourself.
- Go to Greatwood Swamp (you can get there from Ashenshire in Greatwood Forest by going straight from the rope entrance).
- Once you enter the swamp, head to the left side and look for a cave (walk straight until you get to a clearing, then just head left).
- Find a cave on the side of the mountain (there are Silver Veins inside), and find a Vampire mob.
- Kill the Vampire mob and hope he drops the Vampire Blood Vial.
Some players reported that you can find the Vampire mob inside the Witches Hut in the Greatwood Swamp but we have never been able to see one spawn inside, so we can't confirm this. Take it with a grain of salt.
Unfortunately, becoming a Vampire in Rune Slayer is easier said than done. As you can imagine, many aspects here are based on random number generation (RNG). Here are a few things to consider before you attempt to get the Vampire Blood Vial:

- The Vampire mob is a rare spawn (either wait in front of the cave or server hop until you find one)
- The Vampire Blood Vial is a very rare drop, so expect to kill a bunch of Vampires before it finally drops
- The Vampire is an annoying foe who hits hard and moves really fast (we recommend you bring a friend along, just in case)
Even with all this RNG and things to consider, we think this is a much better way to unlock this race than re-rolling for Robux.
After you become a Vampire, your eyes will turn red, and you'll gain a bunch of vampiric passive abilities, like doing more damage at night and healing yourself as you damage and bleed opponents. Just be careful of Holy magic because it can hurt you a lot.
That's all there is to it. Have fun playing as a Vampire in Rune Slayer. If you don't have a way to travel across the seas already, check out our guide on How to get sea mount in Rune Slayer.
