Dress To Impress has announced its latest Summer event update, starting from June 28, 2025, and running through July. This event has added tons of new features, including new costume sets, game modes, currencies, and even lobby revamps. When Does the Dress to Impress Summer Event Start?
The Summer 2025 Update (Part 1) launched on June 28, 2025, and is expected to run until the release of Part 2 on July 5, 2025. During this time, players can access exclusive quests, seasonal items, and the limited-time Mermaid Game Mode.
What is the Mermaid Game Mode in Dress to Impress?
Every three hours, a Special Mermaid Round will appear in matchmaking. If you rank in the top three on the podium during this mode, you get the Old Mermaid Tail item as a reward. This mode also has a custom environment and special judging criteria, so make sure to use your best items and outfits.

With the Summer Update, environmental backdrops were also added in Freeplay, which are ideal for tropical fashion shoots. The Summer Pose Pack and Sun-Kissed Pose Pack (Baddie Pass Tier 21) have also been added, which lets you unlock new and unique poses.

Dress to Impress Summer Event Quest Guide - Part 1
To make the most of this event, be sure to log in daily and complete all your daily tasks. These tasks are your primary way of earning Seashells, which are essential for unlocking exclusive summer items.
You should participate in the special and limited Mermaid Round, which takes place every three hours. Placing on the podium during this round can earn you the Old Mermaid Tail, one of the event's limited items.
As you progress, don’t forget to level up your Baddie Pass by completing rounds and fulfilling tasks. This will not only help you unlock new tiers of rewards but also provide extra Seashells for the shop.
How to Get And Use Shells
Seashells are the new summer event currency, and they can be earned by completing all your daily tasks and leveling up in the Baddie Pass. These activities are the only ways to get Seashells, and these can be used for quite a few purchases.
The Tropical Set costs a total of 2,300 Shells and includes the Tropical Top (1,000 Shells), Tropical Skirt (850 Shells), and Tropical Shoes (450 Shells).
You can also purchase the Butterfly Corset for 1,200 Shells, the Crochet Top for 800 Shells, and the Ivy League Walk Pack for 1,400 Shells. So, make sure to save as well as spend your Seashells wisely to get the most out of these rewards.
