Persona 5 Phantom X's controller support has become a debatable topic ever since the game has launched. Although it's not available on consoles yet, can you still play Persona 5 Phantom X on both PC and mobile with a controller? Let's find out.

Can You Use a Controller With Persona 5 Phantom X?

Despite not being available on consoles, you can still play Persona 5 Phantom X using on a controller, both on PCs and mobile phones. Controllers primarily have two connection modes, namely a wired mode and a bluetooth connection mode.

Persona 5 Phantom X supports the every single controller by default, irrespective of what type of device you're using. To use a controller with the game:

USB Connections

• Launch the game.
• Plug in the USB cable to the controller and then plug it into one of your USB ports on your CPU.
• The game should automatically detect your controller and switch to controller-mode automatically. The controls will change, and the button prompts that you get will reflect in accordance to the controller that you've plugged in.

The above holds true for mobile devices too, but before that you need to first check if your controller is compatible with your mobile phone to begin with.

Bluetooth Connections

• Depending upon the controller using, press the big button in the centre till you see a flashing light on your device:
  • If it's a PlayStation controller, press the PS button in the middle.
  • If it's an Xbox controller, press the circular X button.
• When you see the flashing light, understand that the device is ready to pair. Look for the device after you've activated your Bluetooth on your PC/laptop.
• After you pair the two, the game will again automatically detect the controller that you're using, and will change the controls to reflect the controller that you're using.

Since the game does support all controllers natively, you shouldn't have a lot of trouble playing Persona 5 Phantom X with the device on both PC and mobiles. In case the game doesn't detect your controller, then consider installing the drivers for the device on your PC first.
