Ultimate Haikyu Fly High Tier List [Global Release]

When looking for the best players in Haikyu Fly High it all comes down to individual stats, stat link bonuses, school bonds and combos. It's all about team contribution but also note that SP characters have special abilities which make them drastically more powerful like with Boom Jump Hinata (SP). I'll analyze all SSR, UR and SP characters to show you the best ones in this Haikyu Fly High tier list.

Haikyu Fly High Tier List

Note that my testing for the best characters in Haikyu Fly High tier list was from the Japanese version of the game so most of these UR and SP characters won't be available right away (Only UR Ushijima at first). The game is actually very easy to play and unlike some other Gachas where it's more complex, here higher rarity means better characters in most cases. Just look for strong quick attacks and units with good stat link synergies, School Bonds and Deployment combos. For example SP Hinata and UR/SSR Oikawa are really good by themselves but suck together, whereas if you mix SP Hinata with SP Kenma you get a powerful combo that makes both of them better due to the bond combo mechanic. Also, I have only ranked the release base teams Karasuno, Nekoma, Aoba Johsai, Date Kogyo and Shiratorizawa. This means that while some of the most powerful characters in the Japanese version are UR Sakusa, UR Korai, SP Kotaro and UR Osamu/UR Atsumu I didn't include them since they're not in the base five teams. Below I'll explain the rankings of some of the best characters on this tier list.

Memory Tip: Memories are character signature moves and I highly recommend you pull them for S and SSS characters and maybe A if you like them. They will drastically boost them.

Quick Ranking Breakdown: SSS and S Tiers are Meta characters that you should mix with their bonds while A Tiers are just great secondary options as you're starting out. B is for filling niches and C and D are a bit inflexible with links/bonds or underpowered.

Leveling Tip: I did not rank R and SR characters since you should mostly use them to feed/level your SSR, UR and SP characters.

Why are SSR Hinata, Daichi and Asahi so low?: For Hinata mainly because there's a better SP version so once you get it there's no need for the lower one. As for Daichi and Asahi, they're incredibly good for an early Karasuno team rush. That said for later mid-to-late game builds they lack the stat/combo synergy, flexibility and power.

Best Setters (S)

Toru Oikawa UR & SSR Aoba Johsai	+ Overall a very accessible Setter for a lot of teams due to the SSR and UR rarities + Some of the best Setter stats and stat link synergies
Tobio Kageyama UR & SSR Karasuno Team	+ The beginner friendly option since building a Karasuno team early is a great idea due to how easy it is to get them all + The UR version allows him to shine later as well in some teams - Not as flexible as Oikawa

Best Middle Blockers (MB)

Shoyo Hinata SP Karasuno Team	+ Great spiking stats and overall one of the better spikers in the game + Powerful combo with Kenma - The SSR version is not the best outside of an early game Karasuno setup
Takanobu Aone SP Date Kogyo	- Not the best early game since the combo move requires hard-to-get characters Bokuto and Akaashi + That said, Aone becomes one of the best middle blockers if you can get the Fukurodani duo above later on
Kei Tsukishima SSR Karasuno Team	+ You can get Tsukishima really early to build out a Karasuno team and he's overall a decent MB option for all teams

Best Wing Spikers (WS) & Opposite Hitters (OP)

Hajime Iwaizumi SSR Aoba Johsai	+ While Kentaro has great stats overall Iwaizumi is actually a pretty strong WS option for offense + One of the best beginner spikers in the game
Ryûnosuke Tanaka SSR Karasuno Team	+ Great in an early Karasuno setup due to stat bonus synergies with Nishinoya the best Libero + Can be great with Oikawa as well for later team compositions that aren't early Karasuno

Best Libero (LI)

Yū Nishinoya SP & SSR Karasuno Team	+ Arguably the best Libero in the game and flexibile because you can get the SSR version early and SP later + Great combo with Sugawara + I would rush him as your first and only Libero for a while since Karasuno is easy to build
Hayato Yamagata SSR Shiratorizawa Team	+ Good Liberos are a bit scarce so all three of these options are pretty good + If you don't have Nishinoya or you want a different synergy combo go with Hayato or Morisuke
Morisuke Yaku SSR Nekoma Team	+ Same as Hayato

Haikyu Fly High Beginner Tier List

Now this more of a starting Haikyu Fly High tier list with just SR characters. It's mostly based around easy to build but strong teams for the early game. This will in most cases be Karasuno since they're the strongest and easiest to build early due to a free SSR Tsukishima and a Beginner Selector pick-up for SSR Tanaka. That said, Nekoma or Aoba Johsai can also be good choices if you pick SSR Iwaizumi on the selector and compliment this with some synergizing SSR options from the tier list above. Just note, for these early game setups SSR from the tier list above become much stronger like SSR Asahi Azumane for a Karasuno team.

Haikyu Fly High Reroll Guide

I don't recommend rerolling accounts in Haikyu Fly High right now because the Gacha system here rewards progression more than F2P low spender rerolling. This is because the current banner is Hiratorizawa where the only really good unit is UR Ushijima that requires "Red Tickets" or spending diamonds. Neither UR nor SP characters will be limited since banners will keep reappearing overtime so you'd be wasting time rerolling right now. Instead just build an early Karasuno team which is really strong and F2P-friendly using the free Tsukishima and the cheap low-spender Sugawara package which will carry you for most of the early to mid-game. Also, for the Beginner Selection I recommend Tanaka for a Karasuno team but Iwaizumi is also a great Wing Spiker for different teams.
