Best Calcium Build in Megabonk – Stats & Hit-n-Run

Best build for the skeleton with a skateboard!

Once you’ve killed 1,000 skeletons in Megabonk, you’ll unlock a skeleton of your own. His name is Calcium, and he rides a skateboard, and he’s an absolute speed demon- the quickest character in the game. Sadly, he’s very one-dimensional. So, instead of multiple Calcium builds, we’re doing just a single one that works the best with him.

Calcium Starter Weapon and Passive

Calcium’s starter weapon is the Bone, a ranged weapon that can bounce off one enemy to hit another. With upgrades, you can increase projectiles, damage, and bounces to massively improve this weapon. You can also add Knockback to it, but it doesn’t make much of a difference.

His real strength is in his passive- damage scaled with movement speed, and speed builds up the more you move. In other words, the more you move, the more damage Calcium does. This does make him a difficult character for beginners, but players who can handle his moves will definitely enjoy the Calcium build we’ve put together below.

Best Calcium Megabonk Build - The Hit-n-Run

Lots of projectiles to hit enemies from a distance and a sprinkle of AoE to make sure no unnecessary enemies are hoarding in your trail- that’s the core goal of this build. See the table below for the best Weapons, Tomes, and Items to aim for.

WeaponsTomesItems
Bone
Revolver
Firestaff
Flamewalker
Agility Tome
Cooldown Tome
Quantity Tome
Damage Tome
Turbo Socks
Turbo Skates
Gym Sauce
Battery
Wrench
Demonic Blade
Backpack
Demonic Soul
Dragonfire

Why It Works: Anything and everything in this build directly multiplies Calcium’s damage output by synergizing with his passive skill. Agility Tome will directly increase the movement speed of Calcium, which will boost the base damage. Cooldown Tome, Quantity Tome, and Damage Tome will all directly improve all four weapons.

Items like Turbo Socks and Turbo Skates will also improve movement speed and attack speed, essentially providing another indirect base damage boost.

To make this build slightly less punishing and create a little room for error, go for items like Chonkplate and Holy Book to gain some Lifesteal (works very well with the increased attack speed of Revolver and Bone) and increase Calcium’s HP.

Calcium Build FAQs

Is Calcium good in Megabonk?

Calcium is a high-risk, high-reward character and can be really good if you can build him right and master his movement mechanics. However, every hit he takes is a double whammy because it decreases his already low HP and kills the ‘damage scaling via speed’ passive.

What is the best way to build for Calcium in Megabonk?

The best way to build Calcium in Megabonk is to play to scale off of his passive. Go all in on movement speed and damage to speed up his damage scaling and use ranged weapons with as many projectiles as you can.

How to make Calcium a tank in Megabonk?

Calcium is not a tank character, but with Lifesteal and Overheal, he can shed the glass cannon title. Continuously improve your Lifesteal stat using the Charge Shrines and Items (Chonkplate, Gas Mask, Demonic Blade) so he can survive the lasers if needed. You can also swap the Flamewalker for Aegis if you’re aiming for a multi-stage/multi-tier run.
