Inazuma Eleven Victory Road Game Modes

Inazuma Eleven Victory Road features different game modes that will satisfy both newcomers and veterans of the franchise. Whether you want to focus on the story, collect all the players, battle it out against human opponents, or just hang around with your friends in the game, it has a little something for everyone.

Story Mode

The game features an extensive story mode that takes place 25 years after the original game. You play as Destin Billows, who actually starts off hating football, but as you go through the story, this obviously changes. You can explore the town and interact with characters and encounter social events, participate in story matches and training, and fight against characters in a rock-paper-scissors-based battle system exclusive to the story mode. The story also features cutscenes animated by studio MAPPA

Chronicle Mode

In Chronicle mode, you can reenact legendary matches from the entire Inazuma Eleven franchise, with a time-traveling narrative wrapped around it. Through this mode, you'll be able to collect over 5000 different characters from the series, all with different stats and abilities. It's a great piece of fan service for long-time fans of the series, but also a great way for newer players to get familiar with past events.

Competition Mode

While there's a lot of single-player content in this game, the main reason many people will get it is the multiplayer matches. Competition mode lets you play matches against bots as well, but the main appeal is going against other players in friendly or competitive matches, both in a 1v1 and 2v2 format. It also features a special Commander mode where you don't directly control the players; instead, you give strategic commands from the sidelines, like a coach.

Kizuna Station

Kizuna Station is your customizable hub where you can invite other players to join you and hang out. You can create your own unique space filled with items from the whole Inazuma Eleven franchise. Here you can also customize your avatar, which can be used in the game's social features and in the football matches.

How to Unlock Players in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road

You can unlock over 5000 unique players in the game by using the constellation system found in the game's Chronicle mode. Here, you can spend Bond Stars, a special currency used to engage with the gacha-like pulling system for the various players. Make sure to check which constellation contains the player you want, because there are many to choose from.

Even though you unlock new characters through the Chronicle mode, you'll have to earn Bond Stars by playing against other players in the Competition mode. As long as you finish the match, win or lose, you get five Bond Stars, which is enough to do a multi pull.

New Hissatsu in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road

Hissatsu are the powerful and flashy special moves that players have at their disposal and can be triggered at any time you have enough Tension points. These trigger a hype animation every time. Inazuma Eleven Victory Road adds 21 new Hissatsu techniques to the game, with exciting animations both for the new and old ones. With more than 550 of them in the game on release, we've prepared a table so you can easily find the new ones.

There are a lot of ways to customize your character's appearance, while also setting up your element type, position, starting stats, and your Build that gives you different passive bonuses.
