Whether you want to buy better Guns and Tubes or get handy tools like the Radar and Oxygen Pods, you’ll need money. And you won’t get rich just by catching and selling the Blue Tangs and Barracudas. So, here’s a much more detailed guide that will help you make money in Abyss quickly and easily.

How to Make Money Fast in Abyss

Catching and selling fish is the main gameplay loop. The more fish you catch and sell, the more money you’ll make. However, you won’t get rich in Abyss by following this basic, slow, and grindy loop. If you want to make money fast, you’ll have to grind the right content, pray for some luck, and play strategically.

Here are a few things to prioritize if you want to make money fast in Abyss:

Focus on Completing NPC Quests

There are multiple quest-giver NPCs in all areas of Abyss. If you want to make money fast and progress smoothly, accept and complete quests from these NPCs instead of grinding the game aimlessly.

Almost all the quests are about catching certain fish and buying certain gear/items. Since you’re already trying to do that, might as well activate the quests to get extra rewards. This way, you’ll get money for completing the quest and make some extra money by selling the fish you catch along the way.

If you’re a complete beginner, start with the Kraken’s quests at Forgotten Deep. Once you complete all of the Kraken’s quests, you’ll get enough money to buy the best early-game gear that’ll help you complete the Forgotten Deep content and unlock the other regions.

Once you unlock Spirit Roots and Ancient Sands, complete their respective NPC quests to continue progression and make money. NPCs in Ancient Sands have slightly difficult quests, but they’ll give you more money in return for the extra grind. For example, completing one of Marcus’ quests can give you up to $1,600.

Catch & Sell Mutated Fish

Mutated fish have a low spawn chance but sell at a higher value than their base variants. When you’re feeling up for the challenge, bring along a few Luck Potions and lock in for a session of farming mutated fish. Use our guide on All Fish Mutations & Multipliers in Abyss to see which mutations are the most valuable and should be targeted.

Equip Money-focused Race & Artifacts

This is a slightly RNG-reliant method, but it can really make a difference to the amount of money you make per catch. Five races passively boost your income. All you have to do is equip that race when fishing. The table below lists these classes and their respective cash boost:

RaceCash Boost
Kraken+15%
Sea Angel+15%
Shark+10%
Anglerfish+8%
Spirit+5%

Similarly, certain artifacts will also boost your earnings. You will have to find and crack Geodes to get these, but these can be extremely useful because of their multiple passives. Here are all the artifacts that provide a cash boost:

  • Wraith Flower
  • The King’s Fortune
  • Holy Flower
  • Crab Claw

Find & Open Treasure Chests

While exploring the beautiful Ocean and the different biomes in Abyss, you can find treasure chests lying around in different locations. Opening these treasure chests will give you free rewards that include Star Shards, EXP, and Money.

While you won’t make millions from these treasure chests, they’re still worth picking up because they’re completely free, pretty easy to find, and you’ll also get Star Shards.

If you are having a hard time finding these, our guide on All Chest Locations in Roblox Abyss will help.

Abyss Money Farms - Early, Mid, & Late Game

There are different strategies and money farming methods that you can try, depending on where you are in the game right now. So, here are a few strategies that you can follow according to the gear you have:

Early Game

For beginners, the best way to make money is to focus on the Forgotten Deep quests. Start by completing the Kraken’s quests, then switch to Virelia, and then complete Mr Black’s quests. These will not only help you progress along smoothly but also farm enough money to get better Tubes and Guns so you can start exploring the different biomes.

If you’ve completed the quests but lost money due to deaths, catch and sell salmons and any mutated fish you can find to make some quick money.

Mid Game

Once you have decent gear (Pufferfish Tube & Air Rifle Gun), you’re better off leaving Forgotten Deep and heading to Ancient Sands. You’ll get better returns from your gear by fishing in Ancient Sands. The strategy here is similar to the early game- complete quests and catch as many mutated fish as you can.

The fish in this area are not the most valuable, with even the legendaries selling for ~3,000 to 4,000. So, after completing the quests, you’ll need to farm mutated fish to buy better gear or at least save up enough to get the best gear for the late game at Spirit Roots.

Late Game

The current best money farm for late-game players is to catch and sell Whales. Whale is a Legendary fish in the Abyss that spawns on the outskirts of Spirit Roots. When you kill a Whale, it’ll split into three different parts, and each part sells for atleast $3,000.

The Whale Head can go for as high as $10,000 (could be higher or lower depending on weight and mutation). Whales do have a smaller spawn chance than other Legendaries, so you might have to server hop to find them. You could also use Luck Potions if you don’t enjoy server hopping. Also, catch any Eyefish you find. They also give a decent amount of cash when sold.
