Complete Gakuran Ethnicity & Height Guide – Roblox

Check out how various ethnicities and heights corelate!

There are six different ethnicities in Gakuran, and they are: European, African, Middle Eastern, Japanese, Latinx and Indian. The ethnicity you get directly affects which height you will have. They are listed from tallest to shortest here, with males being roughly 12-13 cm taller than females from the same ethnicity. This is important since the height you get directly corresponds to your combat stats, with taller races dealing more damage and having more health, but also having larger hitboxes, slower movement speed and attacks, with the short races being opposite of that.

Ethnicity and Height are some of the most important player stats in Gakuran. Depending on which ones you get, they can drastically alter your gameplay experience. Some of them are innately geared toward certain playstyles. With that being said, we have created this complete guide that explains in great detail exactly what to expect from each height and ethnicity, so stick around to find out!

In Gakuran, there is a total of six different ethnicities you can play as. They are as follows: Japanese, European, Middle Eastern, African, Indian, and Latinx. Since the game is set in Japan, the vast majority of the player base will be Japanese. In fact, there is a 95% chance of this happening, with the other five ethnicities splitting the remaining 5% among themselves.

When you first start off in Gakuran, you will be assigned a random ethnicity based on the probabilities we mentioned above. In addition to determining your character height, which we will touch on later, the ethnicity you get will determine your hairstyle and hair color. It does that by mimicking real-life experience: Europeans may find themselves with plenty of different hair colors such as black, brown or blonde, while the hair colors of Japanese characters will mostly be drawn from naturally black hues. Furthermore, when rerolling a hair color, there is a 5% chance of obtaining dyed hair, which can pull hair colors from the entire RGB range. On top of that, the hairstyles themselves are also ethnicity-based. This means that, for example, Middle Eastern or Latinx ethnicities will only be able to draw the ones from their respective predetermined hairstyle pools.

Important information: Hairstyles and hair colors have no impact on gameplay and are purely cosmetic.

In Gakuran, you can change your ethnicity by rerolling it. To do that, open the menu by clicking the arrow on the left side of your screen and navigate to the "stats" tab. A player card will then open, and you will be able to see your ethnicity at the bottom. Click the circular arrow to reroll, with the individual chances of getting specific ethnicities remaining the same as those we have already mentioned. Keep in mind that you can get free rerolls by redeeming some of the free codes that the game offers.

Player height is arguably the most important stat in Gakuran, since it directly affects how a character behaves in combat. Namely, taller characters will deal more damage, have larger hitboxes and more health, but will move and attack slower. Shorter characters will, in turn, deal less damage and have less health, but will move and attack much faster while having small hitboxes. In Gakuran, your height depends on your ethnicity and gender. Male characters of a given race will always be roughly 12-13 cm taller than their female counterparts.

The exact height chart for males can be found below:

  1. European - 178 cm (5'10")
  2. African - 175 cm (5'9")
  3. Middle Eastern - 173 cm (5'8")
  4. Japanese - 171 cm (5'7")
  5. Latinx - 170 cm (5'7")
  6. Indian - 167 cm (5'6")

The female height chart is as follows:

  1. European — 165 cm (5'5")
  2. African — 162 cm (5'4")
  3. Middle Eastern — 160 cm (5'3")
  4. Japanese — 159 cm (5'3")
  5. Latinx — 158 cm (5'2")
  6. Indian — 155 cm (5'1")

A passing mention should also be made about the fact that the combat differences only really become obvious in height extremes. One stat worth noting in particular is maximum health, which is roughly 100 at middle-of-the-pack heights and increases or decreases dramatically as height changes. This means that, for example, Europeans will naturally gravitate towards tanky, slower builds, while Indians and other short ethnicities will usually go for a quick, do-not-get-hit build.
