When is Darkest Dungeon 2 coming out?
Darkest Dungeon II is set to be released on May 8, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. While the game was in Early Access on Epic Games Store, it is coming to Steam with version 1.0. Developers have promised to support modding, just as they did for the original Darkest Dungeon.
Darkest Dungeon 2 aims to be a little different than its predecessor. For starters, Red Hook Studios have jumped from the original's 2D to 3D art style. This is a common trend for indie developers, and the transition will surely be worth it and give the game new life. You can still expect the same great combat from the first game.

The second significant change will be in the gameplay. Instead of having a massive roster of constantly changing characters, Red Hook Studios plans to have players invest in a smaller team of characters, only four, to be precise. The player must guide these characters on the road to the sinister mountain instead of the various dungeons the first game consisted of.
