What is a Portal Kill in Splitgate – How to get one

I promise this portal won't kill you.

This achievement requires you to get a portal kill. You are probably wondering what a portal kill is since the game doesn't explain this. You might think you need to kill an enemy through a portal or close a portal with an enemy in it. This is wrong.

To get a portal kill, you need to have an enemy go through your portal and have them fall to their death. This can be difficult as it forces you to rely on other players and is mostly based on luck. There is no fall damage, so the enemy player will have to fall out of the map.

To increase your odds, you should use portals often and put them in high places. Maps like Olympus and Highwind have high-up portal walls and lots of out-of-bounds areas. Abyss and Lavawell would also work but don't have as much opportunity as Olympus and Highwind.

The easiest way to trick players into doing this is to have your portals set up, one on a high portal wall and the other in a high traffic area. Lure an enemy into chasing you and run through your portal. If all goes well, the enemy will follow you through your portal and fall to their death.

There are two requirements to unlock the Trickster achievement. The enemy player must be at full health and must fall to their death in a public game. This means you cannot shoot them first and can't get the achievement in a custom game.
