There are many resources to find and gather in the multiplayer survival game Icarus. These materials are vital to surviving and make life easier in general. One such resource is iron, and unless you are looking in the right place, it can be hard to get this valuable resource.
Iron ore is typically found in caves but sometimes outside of them too. Regardless of where you find this ore, you will need a pickaxe to break it apart and collect it. Mining an iron ore will slowly break it apart and add it to your inventory. You should ensure that you have cleared out any hostile mobs in the cave before attempting to mine iron.

Iron has many uses in Icarus. It can be found fairly early on and is used in many recipes. This includes iron tools and weapons that will make surviving easier. Since it has many uses in the early game, players should prioritize this ore over other ores when they are first starting out.
Iron be can be further refined at furnaces which increases its versatility. So once you begin exploring, keep an eye out for caves and get ready to go spelunking for some iron ore!
