Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies received two new wonder weapons with the Season 2 content update. The Decimator Shield is a never-seen-before wonder weapon that works similar to the Riot Shield melee. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to unlock the Shield in Vanguard Zombies.
In order to get the Decimator Shield, you need to complete the initial half of the main story quest in Terra Maldicta. Start off by completing the objective in the Temple region located in front of the spawn area. This will give you access to the Shield that is entrapped by huge red crystals.
Moving forward, you now have to complete the objective to the very left of where you initially spawned. This removes the barrier and grants you access to another region called Tents. There you can find a rune stone sitting next to the green fountain, Demonic Frenzy.
Interacting with the stone will start a lengthy chat amongst the ally Dark Aether entities. Once the voice lines are over, a blue portal will appear next to the rune stone. Activate the portal, and complete the Purge objective by capturing the control zones within the given time.

You will then be taken back to Terra Maldicta where you have to destroy four gold crystals. These are easy to find and sit on top of the structures in the spawn area. Now, head over to the gold fountain—Diabolical Damage—in the Bazaar area, where you'll find another rune stone.
Listen to the storyline once again and wait for the green portal to appear. This will take you to the Sacrifice objective, where you have to prevent the Syphoncores from sucking life out of sacrificial zombies. The difficulty here is high, as you'll also have to defend yourself from the new enemy, Zaballa the Deceiver.
If you manage to successfully fend off the attack until the shield charge bar is filled, you'll be taken back to the base camp. You can finally equip the Decimator Shield to defend yourself from zombies and perform melee attacks on them. The Shield even has a special Decimation Blast power attack that has a 90-second cooldown.
