How to complete the Harassing the Harassers quest in Winter Ember

In Winter Ember, you play Arthur Artorias on a quest to seek vengeance for the murder of his family. Along the way, you will encounter various side quests that can earn you some extra gold or items. One of these is the A Brother's Scorn quest. This may leave you wondering how to complete the A Brother's Scorn quest in Winter Ember.

You must first complete the Thief of Joy quest and then meet Kasey outside his brother's home to initiate this quest. He asks you to eliminate the Iron Dove thugs and find his brother inside.

You will need to head to the thugs' hideout, the Sewers, which will be marked on your map. You can either kill or knock out the guards outside to steal the Sewer Key or use fire arrows to melt the ice blocking a second entrance.

Once inside the Sewers, you will need to kill or knock out all the thugs. You can choose to use stealth or simply run and kill them all. They are spaced out enough that you can engage in 1-on-1 combat with them. Watch out for bear traps, though, as several are scattered throughout the area.

Eventually, you will come to a locked gate that you cannot pass. On the other side of the gate is a switch. You need to activate the switch to open the gate. This may leave you wondering how to open the locked gate in the Sewers in Winter Ember.

How to open the locked gate in the Sewers in Winter Ember

You need to hit the switch with a blunt arrow to open the locked gate in the Sewers in Winter Ember. This is a special arrow you can craft. You may notice that you cannot line up the shot from where you are—that's because you need to get a vantage point.

Head to the circled point on the catwalk on the map above. Climb the barrels and boxes to reach a pipe. Follow the pipe to the point marked with the red star. From here, you can shoot the switch with a blunt arrow marked by the yellow star.

This will open the gate and let you explore the rest of the Sewer. There are only a few thugs left to eliminate in this area. Once you do so, your mission should be updated, and you can return to the shop owner and collect your reward.
