Where find Azumarill in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

The Aqua Rabbit Pokémon.

Azumarill is a Water/Fairy-type Pokémon first introduced in Johto. Whether you’re looking to complete your Pokédex or permanently add Azumarill to your team, here is where you can find it in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

Azumarill can be found in the waters of Casseroya Lake, usually surrounded by Marills. You can even find one with a unique Tera type swimming near the northmost islet on the lake. If you’re lucky, you can even encounter a rare spawn as early as Medali.

However, we really recommend you wait until you can glide your way to Casseroya Lake and save yourself the trouble. The Pokémon in Casseroya Lake are around or above level 50.

How to evolve Marill into Azumarill in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

If you don’t want to wait until you get access to Medali or Casseroya Lake, there’s actually an easy way to get Azumarill: just evolve your Maril. Marill automatically evolves into Azumarill at level 18. Marills can be found near the waters of Levincia and, more rarely, around the Los Platos area.

You can even capture an Azurill in Los Platos (the more common form of its species in the area) and evolve it into Marill with a high enough friendship. Friendship with Pokémon naturally increases as it gains levels and the number of steps you take with it in the party. If you’re in a hurry, you can even setup a picnic and speak to your Azurill. Washing it and eating sandwiches also increases friendship.
