How to give and receive commendations in Destiny 2

In an attempt to facilitate positive interactions in Destiny 2, Bungie implemented a commendation system for matchmade activities. At the end of a multiplayer match, you have the option to commend another player, letting them know that they were fun to play with. You can even view how many commendations you've received, for a little pick-me-up. To increase your Guardian Rank to seven, you have to give and receive a certain number of commendations. How do you give commendations in Destiny 2?

After the end of each match, you can press View Mission Summary to open the commendation menu. Here, you can pick out any teammates who were especially fun to play with, granting them a friendly commendation. Your teammates will see a notification if they are commended, listing the type of commendation they received. To view how many commendations you have sent to other players, open the Journey menu and select the Commendations icon. You can send commendations in any matchmade activity, including the Vanguard Ops playlist, raids, and Crucible matches.

How do you receive commendations in Destiny 2?

To receive commendations, play matchmade activities and demonstrate teamwork. By reviving teammates, healing allies, and dealing impressive damage, you may be noticed as a dependable player. Although it's difficult to guarantee whether you will receive a commendation or not, being kind to others will certainly increase your chances. To view commendations you have received, open the Journey menu and press the Commendations icon. Here, you can view both the number and types of commendations you have been awarded. By hovering over the commendation cards, you can see a short summary of each commendation type, as well as where you can earn them.
